What I packed for 3 weeks on the road & how it all fit into one gym bag.

Alright, I'll admit it. The shoes didn't fit. Now that we got that out of the way, I can tell you what I threw in my gym bag for 3 weeks on the road. Road trip season is among us and it occurred to me that some of you might be wondering what to pack. First of all, think of it as a week long trip where you need 3 pairs of underwear a day. Chances are, you will have to do laundry once or twice if you don't want to live like a smelly hippie. (or maybe you do, either way...)

Here's what I packed:
2 Pairs of running shorts
2 workout tank tops
4 sports bras
1 bralette
1 "regular" bra
1 flannel
1 pair of jean shorts
4 t-shirts (with the assumption I'd buy a few more...)
7 pairs of socks
1 "going out" outfit
1 sundress
1 rain jacket
1 pair of jeans
1 hat
1 pair of sunglasses
2 bathing suits
2 pairs of shorts to sleep in, 2 t-shirts to sleep in
3 x the underwear I thought I needed (just in case we didn't end up doing laundry)
shampoo + conditioner, facewash, a razor, shaving cream, soap.
toothbrush + toothpaste
phone charger
camera + charger (DSLR)

this is what I brought that was not in my duffel bag:

there was the shoes:
hiking boots
running shoes
crossfit shoes
flip flops
birkenstocks
cowboy boots

and the camping gear:
a sleeping pad
a sleeping bag
a tent
a lantern
a pillow
a flashlight
a burner + 1 pot to cook

and there was snacks.

It really wasn't a lot. I wore things I could mix and match. I spent a lot of time in bathing suits or comfy hiking clothes. Life is good. Don't overthink it. As you can see in my photo above, sometimes you just have to have a wear-whatever attitude. Enjoy it. Happy Travels!
